Maintenance is where trust is built or destroyed. Most drivers have had the experience of bringing a vehicle in for an oil change and leaving with a printed list of nine recommended services. We do not work that way. If something is worn, we show you and explain it. If the vehicle is fine, we tell you it is fine.
The Prescott environment does put real demands on a vehicle. Elevation changes, long grades, summer heat and dusty forest roads shorten the life of coolant, filters, belts and brake fluid compared with flat highway driving, so 'follow the severe service schedule' is honest advice here rather than an upsell.
What we handle
Scheduled and preventive maintenance
Manufacturer-interval services for gas and diesel vehicles, adjusted for how and where the vehicle is actually driven.
Fluids and filters
Engine oil, transmission and differential fluid, coolant, brake fluid, air and cabin filters, with the correct specification for your vehicle.
Belts, hoses and cooling systems
The parts that strand you when they let go. Inspected while the vehicle is on the lift and replaced before they fail on a grade.
Everyday repairs
Leaks, noises, warning lights, wipers, bulbs, and the general 'it does not feel right' complaints that need someone to actually look.
What is included
- Multi-point inspection of fluids, belts, hoses, brakes, suspension and tires while the vehicle is up
- A straight report on what is due now versus what can wait
- Correct-specification fluids and filters for your vehicle
- No mandatory add-on service list
What is not included
- Extended warranty claim administration unless arranged in advance
- Detailing and cosmetic reconditioning
What affects the price
We do not publish flat prices, because quoting a repair before diagnosing it is how people get surprised on the invoice. These are the factors that move the number on this type of job:
- Vehicle type and oil capacity, since a diesel pickup takes far more oil than a sedan
- Fluid specification, as some transmissions and modern engines require specific and costly fluids
- Whether the inspection finds repairs that need attention
- How far behind the maintenance schedule the vehicle has fallen
How the job runs
- 1
Book the service
Call with your year, model, mileage and anything the vehicle is doing that concerns you.
- 2
Service and inspect
We perform the service and inspect the vehicle on the lift.
- 3
Get an honest report
We tell you what we found, what is urgent and what can wait until next time.
- 4
Approve any extra work
Nothing beyond the agreed service happens without your say-so.
Oil changes and routine service intervals
An oil change is the cheapest opportunity you get to catch an expensive problem early, a seeping axle seal, a cracked belt, brake pads at the end of their life, a coolant weep. That only works if somebody actually looks.
We inspect the vehicle, service it correctly, and give you a straight report. What we do not do is hand you a printed list of nine recommended services with a total at the bottom.
Multi-point inspection
Fluids, belts, hoses, brakes, suspension, leaks and tire condition checked while the vehicle is on the lift.
Tire rotation and condition check
Rotation and a real look at the wear pattern, so uneven wear gets explained rather than ignored.
Gas and diesel
Including diesel pickups and work trucks with larger capacities and different filter requirements.
Honest triage
Findings sorted into what needs attention now, what to watch, and what is fine.
What is included
- Oil and filter change
- Multi-point inspection
- Tire rotation
- A verbal walkthrough of anything we found
What affects the price
- Oil type and capacity, diesel trucks hold far more oil than a sedan
- Conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic
- Filter type and cost for the specific vehicle
- How often should I change my oil?
- Follow your manufacturer's interval, and shorten it if you do a lot of short trips, dusty forest roads or towing. All three are common around Prescott.
- Do you rotate or replace tires during a service?
- We rotate tires as part of the service and we handle tire replacement and wheel alignment as separate services when the vehicle needs them.
- Do you do diesel oil changes?
- Yes. Diesel capacities and filters are different and priced accordingly, so call with your truck and we will quote it.
- Will you try to sell me a list of services?
- No. You get the findings and our honest priority order. What you approve is what gets done.
