- Yes. Dampers lose their control long before they visibly leak. The symptoms are body float, a skipping rear end over rough roads, and cupped tire wear.
- Is a clunk over bumps serious?
- It depends on the source. A sway bar link is a minor repair. A worn ball joint is safety-critical because a failure can separate the wheel from the vehicle. Both are worth identifying properly.
- Do I need an alignment after this work?
- In most cases yes, because replacing suspension and steering components changes the geometry.
